Customer Review: Innovative Idea with Replayability

Great Idea mixing guitar riffs, using a guitar controller (it is NOT like playing a REAL guitar), and video gaming. Although you are not playing a real guitar, this game gives you a sense of being a part of the band. I love playing video games, and have played guitar all my life, and this is a perfect mix, but again, you have to realize it is NOT playing a real guitar. Realistically, the game seems harder than playing a real guitar. Yes, thats right! This concept is harder that playing a real guitar. So, when I look at a real guitar player verses a Guitar Hero player, I know who really working for the crowd. That is the video gamer. Not a dig on guitarists, but excellent guitarist really are a dime a dozen. Find someone who can perform expert level song on any GH release. There's some talent. This game is comparable to Mad Maestro, American Idol, etc. in many ways. Everything but the controller aspect, which I love in GH. You can, and eventually will be able to master the songs as you play them. I get nervous before attempting an expert level performance. When I perform with a real guitar - it really is nothing. So, real guitarists that are gloating, stop it, you really do stink... Hook up any GH version, and see what I mean. Customer Review: Disappointing Christmas for a Little Boy

1 star is too much for this product! I also wish I had read the reviews first. We tried to run this game and got no response from the PS2 after seeing the Sys Config screen and then the Playstation 2 logo. Other games received for Christmas work just fine. This is a major disappointment for a 9-year old boy on Christmas day after the excitement of setting the whole thing up, only to find that it did not work. After all I've read on-line, it is apparent that this is a known problem to the manufacturer, which irritates me to no end! I don't know how excited I am to try new software again and again, wasting that time when it looks like a foregone conclusion that it will not work. I think we will return the whole thing and go with Rockband instead! Customer Review: Works great - kids can't put it down!

I am also having trouble with the disk...It reads ERROR not reading the disk. It was a heartbreak for the kids...I wish I would have read the reviews prior to Christmas morning! What is activision? I will have to probably exchange the game...UGGHCustomer Review: Awesome

I think the first reviewer got a faulty game or his system is messed up.
I know several people that have this and no problems whatsoever.
I just got mine this morning as a birthday gift from my husband. I haven't been able to walk away from it much all day. I love it. I have played Rockband and Rockband 2, but never a GH game. So, after doing research I decided I wanted this one. I am SOOOOOO glad I have it. It is amazing. And after playing Rockband I had no problem just jumping right it.
Buy this.... you won't regret it!
