I have another pad that is non-bunching, and this pad is NOT. The top layer moves freely over the bottom layer, causing some difficulty with speed and accuracy. It's a good pad if you're looking for something inexpensive just to get started, but it won't function well enough to keep you going when you get up to harder songs/dances...you'll have to buy something higher quality.
