This guitar is not as well made as the OEM one, but I like the rechargeable battery, and so far it has worked very well, and all the buttons are in working order, unlike many aftermarket guitars. The small frets are really great for small kids, in fact, it's a must have feature for them.
The biggest problem is the strum bar. It's noisy and squeaky. One of the reviewers here mentioned taking the guitar apart to lube it. I took the back off, but found that it's not necessary to do so. There are like 9 screws, so it's a PITA to take them all off, and in fact you don't need to do so. You can just lube from the front. Just lube the small space between the strum bar and the body. You either need a syringe, or in my case, I flattened a drinking straw, dipped it int lubricant and squeezed it into the gap.
I think Dreamgear could have spent a few bucks more to make it look better, like chrome the tuning keys or provide a decal sheet, but that's something I can do myself. Funny enough, even though the OEM guitar is better made I like playing this one more now.
I like it and would buy it again.
