NOTE: I have never played this game, this review is for the free DVD that comes packadged in it. Vol 1 of the .Hack//Liminality mini series. I would put the review in the DVD section but it was never available to buy alone.
.hack//Liminality (called .hack//L throughout the rest of this review) is better then .hack//sign and FAR better then .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet (the 2 other .hack anime) For those of you wanting to know Vol. 1 is 45 minutes long and has a .hack//Sign look NOT a .hack//legend look. The main difference between it and its counterparts is it takes place out of The World. I is the bi polar of .Hack//Sign which is about someone who is stuck in the game and in a coma on the outside trying to break out from the inside. This is instead about someone getting stuck in The World but it actually follows his girlfriend outside trying to find out whats going on. (confused yet? no? Your smarter then I thought!) anyway, his girlfriend Mai in Vol 1. is confronted by a strange middle aged man who you find out is the ex. president of the C.C. Corporation (guys who designed The World) anyway, He is attempting to find out how everyone is going in a coma, he comes across Mai who is unique cause she is the only person ever to wake up from it. In other words this is the opener for the series. But this is !NOT! a cheesy give-a-way spinoff mini series like youd expect, it has fantastic music, much better then .hack//Signs. (id mention .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet, but its music sucked to begin with) anyway. Its also got beautifull animation, great dubbing, extras, and a suberb story, like i said it is the bipolar of sign. If you liked .hack//sign buy it. If you liked .hack//legend of thw twilight bracelett.. um you'll think this is the best thing since the wheel by comparison.

Dot Hack is a very good game but in a needing status. It has a good story but bad camera system. You'll not need much time to finish this game. The battle system rocks out loud though. You can controll basically everything that your character does and they use common sense with stuff like not letting the mage attack that way they dont get killed. I never really got into the grunty thing though they did come in handy. The trading system was awesome.Customer Review: Hard, but VERY fun

.hack is a bit confusing, and dungeons can be hard, but once you get the hang of it, this game is really cool. I'm not very far in the game, so I don't know much, but 2 of my friends are, and they LOVE it. From the part of the game that I have completed, I highly reccommend this game, but I would definitly buy Dark Cloud 2, or the golden sun series,that I have both written reviews on, first Customer Review: BEST RPG EVER IN HISTORY!!!!!!!

first of all the game is about a kid who joins a online game called the world. his one friend "orca" was data drained by a virus named skeith. he then meets the little girl in white gives him a book.his friend ended up in a coma. "kite" (the main character) travels with a female character "blackrose" who is a newbie or begginer just like him. she takes them to a viraly infected area called "hidden,forbidden,holy ground" where they find a monster who can not die. later they continue meeting virus monsters and screwed up areas. i gave this game a best game because i am a huge fan. if you like rpg and movement fighting you will love it.Customer Review: .hack infection:advanced review

Dot hack infection is about a kid named Kite whose invited by a classmate (we'll call him by his online name, Orca.) to play the online game the world. But, after a breif tutorial the two are attacked by a powerful, unknown monster named Skeith. Afterwards, the mysterious Aura gives Kite the book of twilight, from which Kite drew the twilight bracelet. Orca fell comotose in the real world. The bracelet Kite recieved has 2 essential skills: gate hacking, to get you there. And Data drain to weaken Skeith. It is an online-game simulation via RPG.
