Customer Review: My favorite basketball game...

When I first got this game, I thought it was the pits mainly because I could never figure out how to shoot free throws. I accidentally discovered how to do that and since that time, I've ordered TWO new versions of this game; it's THAT good! My favorite is the "Dynasty" portion where you become coach (you have a few selections to start off with) and try and build yourself a successful program. After a while--if you are successful--you'll be offered another coaching job at a bigger school and you're off and running. There are three different levels to play: starter, all conference, and all american. I suggest you start at the starter (just for a little while) and then change to all conference. All American is very difficult.
The controls work very smoothly here. The only bad points: (1) sometimes, try as you might, your team simply will not rebound; (2) if you should choose "simulate" mode in the NCAA Tournament, it seems the ONLY teams the creators of this thought could play winning basketball were Duke and Kansas. I'm from Kentucky and I think we know just a little about the game of roundball.
