At this point in late 2008, Playstation 2 is nothing new. However, this is the first time I have had to replace my controller (I finally wore the other one out!). I ordered two recently at a great sale price (I ended up with two units for the price of 1 regularly. Free Super Saver Shipping was the icing on the cake.) I tried out a couple of generic controllers at a retail store recently and the buttons feel very cheap and less sensitive than these. I really couldn't image ever using another controller with my Playstation 2. It was incredible to experience a new controller after all of this time - absolute perfection for my gaming needs!

The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. Aside from the Start and Select buttons, all of the functions are analog for greater control, a wider variety of operations, and a more compelling interactive experience.
