Video Game Reviews of Grand Theft Auto Vice City

Customer Review: From Jan Hammer to Ray Liotta, this game has it all!
Summary: 5 Stars

In the vein of Rockstar's 'in your face/ playable violence' platforms, Vice City of the Grand Theft Auto series is still the best. Even after the successful launch and premiere of San Andreas, the awkwardly loveable characters and 80's atmosphere breathe a life of chaos that borderlines heaven.

You start off in Vice City after a drug bust goes bad, as Tommy (Liotta, in one of the best voice overs ever) you assume the role of working your way up to the top a la Brian De Palma's 1983 picture, Scarface. From machetes to machine guns, mo-peds to sports cars... you can be either Caldrone or Crockett, assuming you understand the catch.

Vice City, the city in the game itself, is filled with throwbacks and near to perfect recreations Miami locales. The references to everything 80's and anything mobster film is such a perfect blend that it is by far more entertaining than any film out there.

Controls are as solid and what anyone should expect of the Rockstar series. The game has it's errors and bugs that show up every now and then, but are minimal at best. Auto aim and hand to hand combat is literally no assembly required and should please even the non gamer.

What is key to the game is one of the best soundtracks in both video games and film. Toto, Rick James, The Outfield, Flock of Seagulls, and even Jan Hammer all contribute to creating a captivating 80's lifestyle with the best of the best tunes from the radio heydays. Gamers will probably find themselves cruising around at night--just to listen to the songs!

With a storyline that never dries up, a city that remains to be toppled (even after the infinite possibilities offered in San Andreas), and a best selling soundtrack Vice City reigns as the best of the Grand Theft Autos and with little surprise. How many people have always wanted to be Crockett or Tubbs or a Tony Montana wannabe? I know the latter is true.

If you haven't played this, then you're missing out. Forget the PS3 or the Wii this season, this game is still where it's at. Go... play.

Customer Review: A Real Kill
Summary: 5 Stars

This game is sorta like the Kill Bill movies because in Kill Bill the woman who wants revenge will stop at nothing to kill her nemmisis bill and in GTA Vice City Tommy will also stop at nothing to kill people but not only that but all of the following
Steal peoples cars and trucks.
Form a gang.
Kill police and the army.
Kill other gangs.
Kill paramedics.
Kill school kids.
Kill teachers.
Get drunk on big nights.
Comit hit and runs.
Go to partys.
Go to clubs.
Go to casinos.
Gamble.
Drink.
Kill celebirtys.
Kill millionares.
Kill People.
And
Rise up the ranks as Vice Citys most dangerous criminal.
and thats all hope you liked my reveiw of Grand Theft Auto Vice City and if you think Grand Theft Auto Vice City is good then get it I got it.

Customer Review: One of the best classics, period!
Summary: 5 Stars

Let me say that yes, this game is too violent for kids but beyond that, it is totally awesome!

The graphics are better than those found in San Andreas and I enjoy robbing the stores greatly! You will also notice that your health and armor will decline more rapidly in this game than in SA. Ok, so it does not have three super detailed cities but it has one nearly perfect city... Vice City is the perfect parody of 1980s Miami and the missions seem to be pretty reflective.

The storyline is about what you would expect but the voice over acting is exceptional for a videogame. The two main characters, Tommy and Lance, sound better than the characters in most major motion pictures.

I started my adventures with GTA San Andreas but in fact, I am enjoying this game even more! For anyone who liked either GTA III or San Andreas, pick this up and by the way, avoid Lib City Stories, it is just too dull after a while.

Customer Review: The GREATEST GTA installment!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my First introduction to the Wolrd of GTA, and I Loved it!
I've played GTA 3 but it was not as fun as Vice City due to the Voice Actors included in the game which gives the game life.

I wasn't a VERY big fan of American Music (since I only listen to Japanese), but this game made me like them bit by bit.

Even though it has some "glitches" in the game, I still prefer this over ALL GTA series.

Customer Review: Ah, the moonlight...
Summary: 5 Stars

I feel romantic, driving through the city in the rain with the moon in view, Emotion on the dial. I'm ashamed to admit I spend most of my evenings helping the coppers chase down wannabe's in front of the mall, 50 bucks a pop for a citizen's arrest and I just keep kicking em while they're down, cha-ching! I've bought all the properties with just the results of my do-gooder vigilantism. See, this game rewards a higher sense of morality.
